Hi to all. Some of the first photos to show up are the ones by Amy in charge of the 12- and 63-mile Rest Stop, who was ably assisted by many, most notably by her mom, Margaret. Thank you both for making it possible for me to sleep a bit in the days leading up to the RSNCC, knowing Scalesville Fire Station was covered. You helped me feel good enough to skate on the day, too, so thanks! Check out the pics. I took around 700, so it'll be awhile!

Our 9th official skating of the 87-mile Athens to Atlanta Roadskate (not including two unofficial traverses in 2005) was on a warm and sunny day one might have expected a month or so earlier. I knew I'd be feeling the muscle cramps in my quads eventually but that didn't stop me from being overly excited at some points early on.

Meet us at the Statue of Athena in front of the Classic Center (on Thomas between Washington and Clayton) in Athens GA for a quick photo of those who are part of InlineNC Yahoogroups.com group and Roadskater.net website or charity inline skating and bicycling team. No biggie. All are welcome. Then we'll go to hear Henry's rant for the 2008 A2A.

Once the tropical storm/hurricane Hanna had passed on through during what would have been the Saturday morning ride to Tanglewood, the Roadskater.net Team had to decide whether to get in our cars and ride to Tanglewood or hit the roads and burn some calories. We decided to do 48.5 miles on our skates and bikes on a route of supersweet asphalt north of Greensboro.

Bicycle Toy & Hobby Sales gaves us a great skate and ride last weekend, even considering some rough road (not the worst gatorback by far, but not as great as the rest) on the spur out to and around Abbotts Creek. We had nice skaters, 4 veterans of T2T and 5 who have yet to experience the glorious weekend...but most plan to.

The Paceline Bicycles Greensboro Bike Ride and Inline Skate was a fun, if relatively short (around 28 miles or so...I turned my Garmin Forerunner 305 on a bit late), training ride for the Tour to Tanglewood.
The GVC Red, White & Blue was lots of fun despite hot weather and muscle pain. We started out for 41ish miles but missed a turn (no street sign and no cue sheet mileage info) and gleefully wandered along for quite some time before finding anyone to ask about Ironworks Rd. So we ended up doing 51.5, ending up with hot sun. Here's a link to the photos, the speed map of the route, and a google earth photo thumbnails route map...
I had a great time with eebee, andrewinnc and jack, plus Marianne and all the cyclists and T2T staff and volunteers at the inaugural J&L Bicycle T2T training ride! Check out my 150 photos two ways, as a Google Earth thumbnail route map, and full-sized on roadskater.net:

Comments later, perhaps, but for now, here are the photos from the 2008 Cycles de Oro Tour to Tanglewood Training Ride. We did 36.5 or so on a pretty hot day, finishing in 90-plus degree sunshine. Here are the pics:
